Analyst, Portfolio Management IS (Icelandic speaking)
Are you ready to help establish and grow our presence in the Icelandic pharmaceutical market? You’ll have the opportunity to explore the market’s potential and shape the growth of the market.
Drive Meaningful Change
Are you ready to help establish and grow our presence in the Icelandic pharmaceutical market? As our first Analyst, Portfolio Management dedicated to Iceland, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the market’s potential and play an important part in growing our business together with the Country Manager.
Get a Glimpse of Our World
At Abacus Medicine, we work to improve access to medicine across Europe by sourcing and supplying pharmaceuticals where they are needed most. While we are already established in numerous European markets, we have already taken our first steps in Iceland and are now looking to grow our presence further.
As part of our Nordic Business Development organization, you'll join a collaborative environment where colleagues across different functions work together to create value for patients and customers. Together with the Country Manager, you'll help support our ambition of bringing more medicines to the Icelandic market and increasing access to healthcare for patients across the country.
Realize Your Opportunities as an Analyst, Portfolio Management
In this role, you’ll work across different areas of our Icelandic business, combining analytical thinking with a hands-on and commercial approach. The broad scope will give you the opportunity to build a strong understanding of the market and contribute where it matters most as the business develops.
Your main responsibilities include:
Manage portfolio activities across analysis, pricing, inventory management, and day-to-day operations together with the Country Manager.
Continuously analyze the portfolio to optimize inventory, pricing, and portfolio decisions.
Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and support the launch of new products in the Icelandic market.
Manage activities with our warehouse partners, including reporting, communication, and stock management.
Build and maintain communication with Icelandic pharmacies, authorities, and other relevant external stakeholders.
Collaborate with Purchase, Supply Chain, and other internal functions to execute portfolio and inventory strategies.
Support the Country Manager with ad hoc analyses, reporting, and operational activities.
Fuel for your success in the role
You’re curious, commercially minded, and motivated by the opportunity to develop a market that is still growing. You enjoy working across different areas rather than focusing on just one, and you’re comfortable switching between analytical work, commercial topics, and hands-on challenges.
You bring a strong sense of ownership and a proactive mindset. As the Icelandic business continues to develop, you’re comfortable navigating change, finding practical solutions, and keeping momentum when things don’t go exactly as planned. Most importantly, you’re excited by the opportunity to help shape the way forward and grow the business together with the wider team.
Furthermore, we hope that these factors describe you:
You hold a Master's Degree in economics, finance, business or a related field.
Relevant professional experience in a related field (experience in the pharmaceutical business, analysis, investment, trading, or financial controlling is a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and business-related tasks. Experience in Python is beneficial but not mandatory.
Fluency in Icelandic and English.
