Do you see your strength in inspiring others with enthusiasm for your ideas? Then we look forward to getting to know you, your scientific mindset and your passion for sales! As part of our team in Madrid, you will represent the Abacus Medicine Group to our pharmacy customers throughout Spain.
What awaits you
As a Key Account Manager at the Abacus Medicine Group, you can expect a complex sales environment in which both building long-term customer relationships and the short-term dynamics of parallel imports play an important role. You will regularly manage your own customer portfolio by phone or in person. We see the our next teammember as being someone with scientifically strong abilities, who understands the cardiac surgery environment, can educate customers effectively, and can create long-term partnerships with customers.
Depending on business needs, you will spend up to 10 days per month traveling to visit our customers on-site.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Growing and developing the accounts within the assigned territory.
Identifying opportunities to increase adoption and utilization of specific medical products.
Training and educating healthcare professionals on medical products and its clinical use.
Establishing, maintaining, and nurturing relationships with customers, particularly cardiac surgeons and perfusionists.
Initiating contact with potential customers and exploring collaboration opportunities.
Working closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing to support the launch and growth of a specific medical product.
Representing the Abacus Medicine Group at trade fairs and events.
What you should bring
Whether you are changing careers or already an experienced sales professional, we value your motivation, commitment, and willingness to continuously develop your communication skills. You could definitely be a former professional from the cardiac surgery environment or a perfusionist, who has experience in sales environments. The ideal candidate should be able to understand the science, the cardiac surgery setting, the competitive landscape, and confidently position Abacus Medicines products as a standard of care. Together, we strive to establish a sales approach that keeps our customers at the center of every conversation.
We also expect you to have:
Completed commercial training or a university degree.
Experience in or around cardiac surgery and surgical settings.
Excellent communication skills who can discuss scientific data with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and other stakeholders.
An independent and structured way of working.
Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration with fellow KAMs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, and the Country Manager to maximize customer impact and drive a successful launch.
Spanish as your native language or fluent Spanish skills, both written and spoken. Your English skills should be at least at a fluent level, and you should be willing to use them in practice.
A valid category B driver’s license.
