What awaits you
As our Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the marketing strategy and execution of new medical products in Spain.
The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution. You will be responsible for understanding the market, identifying customer needs, defining priorities, developing action plans, and ensuring successful implementation.
You will work closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, hospital pharmacists, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial colleagues, and global teams to support the launch and growth of products from Abacus Medicine in Spain.
While the initial focus of the role will be the successful launch and growth of specific products, you will also contribute to the evaluation, planning, and future launch preparation of pipeline products as the business expands.
Depending on business needs, travel within Spain will be required.
Your responsibilities will include:
Define and implement the marketing strategy in Spain.
Develop a deep understanding of the cardiac surgery market, customer needs, treatment practices, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities.
Define objectives, strategic priorities, action plans, and success metrics.
Lead market analysis, customer insight generation, and competitive intelligence activities.
Support the successful launch and growth of a new product in Spain.
Develop marketing campaigns, materials, and educational initiatives.
Plan and support congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and customer-facing activities.
Manage the marketing budget and monitor performance.
Collaborate closely with local and global stakeholders.
What you should bring
Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, preferably within hospital products, specialty care, cardiovascular disease, cardiac surgery, anesthesia, intensive care, or related therapeutic areas.
Good understanding of the Spanish healthcare and hospital environment.

Strong strategic and analytical skills
Experience developing and implementing marketing plans
Experience managing budgets and investments
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong customer focus and market understanding
Ability to work across functions and international teams
Fluent Spanish and English
