Drive meaningful change
As our new Head of Project Management Office (Head of PMO), you will strengthen the execution capabilities that power our continued growth across Europe. You will own the project execution operating system for the entire group, ensuring strategic initiatives, transformational programs, and critical cross-functional projects are delivered with excellence, transparency, and impact.
This is your opportunity to build, lead, and continuously improve how projects are executed across a complex international organization - working at the center of decision-making, alongside senior leaders, to shape how we govern and deliver change.
Get a glimpse of our world
The Head of PMO leads the PMO team within Transformation & Growth (TG) – a group-wide function established to strengthen our transformation and execution capabilities and support sustainable growth. Transformation & Growth consists of four key areas:
PMO
Portfolio & Value Management
Change Management
Commercial Growth & Incubation
You will lead a team of experienced Project Managers while working closely with the wider TG function, Business Units, Functions, and Digital teams across the organization.
Are you ready to embark on this journey with us?
In this role, you will:
Lead and continuously improve Abacus Medicine Group's project execution framework, governance model, and PMO standards — driving consistent delivery practices across Transformation & Growth, Business Units, Functions, and Digital.
Serve as the single entry point for project requests, owning the enterprise project intake process and ensuring effective assessment and routing across the organization.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers while strengthening project management capabilities across the organization.
Ensure transparency through effective project governance and risk management, partnering with senior stakeholders to enable successful execution of strategic, cross-functional projects.
Act as a hands-on leader on critical programs and transformation initiatives when needed.
Fuel for your success in the role
We imagine that you bring:
Extensive experience leading complex cross-functional projects and programs, including transformation initiatives, in an international environment.
5+ years of leadership experience leading and developing a team of Project/Program Managers, including coaching and capability building.
Proven experience establishing project governance and delivery standards.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced degree within Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field; relevant certifications such as PMP, PMI, IPMA, SAFe, or LPM are an advantage.
Experience with project management tools, reporting frameworks, Excel, and Power BI.
Excellent written and verbal English skills.
A strategic mindset, strong execution focus, and the ability to create clarity, alignment, and results in complex, fast-paced environments.
