PMI (Post Merger Integration) Lead

Help Abacus Medine Group unlock and accelerate the value from the existing and potential new acquisitions. In this role you will help shape and drive Abacus Medicine’s Post Merger Integration (PMI) efforts and play a pivotal role in turning acquisitions into real, sustainable value. You will steer and oversee all PMI activities across the group, ensuring that integrations are planned and executed with clarity, pace, and strong strategic intent.
For larger or more complex acquisitions, you will lead end-to-end PMI project management through the Integration Office, coordinating cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration, value realization, and alignment with our long-term strategic ambitions.

Due to the nature of the role, you will collaborate with a broad and diverse internal stakeholder group across each integration. Depending on the scope and complexity of the integration, you will also engage with external stakeholders such as consultants, advisors, and vendors.
This is a highly visible position where you will work closely with senior leaders, help shape integration strategy, and play a key role in ensuring that every acquisition delivers its full strategic and financial value.

In this role, you will:
Drive and oversee all PMI activities across Abacus Medicine Group, ensuring consistency, quality, value realization and the decision making process
Lead large and complex PMI initiatives end-to-end, owning the Integration Office and supporting integration tracks across the business
Enable strong governance and decision-making by supporting business tracks and acting as a trusted partner to the steering committee
You will take ownership of key PMI dimensions, including:
Integration planning & governance: Develop and maintain a clear integration roadmap with defined milestones and governance structures
Value & synergy realization: Partner with Finance to define, track, and realize synergies and value initiatives
Stakeholder & executive management: Act as the central coordination point between executive leadership, functional owners, and external advisors
Risk, issue & dependency management: Proactively identify and manage risks, interdependencies, and critical paths, escalating when executive decisions are required
Change & communication: Own integration change management and communication, supporting business tracks through complex transitions
Oversight & tracking: Monitor progress against the integration master plan, ensuring disciplined execution and adherence to agreed priorities
In addition, you will:
Own and continuously evolve Abacus Medicine Group’s PMI approach, processes, and playbook
Participate in M&A transactions as PMI lead, ensuring integration considerations are embedded already during the transaction phase
Fuel for your success in the role
We imagine that you bring:
A Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or equivalent
5+ years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions/ post-merger integration
A strong Post-Merger Integration toolbox with a demonstrated track record of successful integrations
Solid project and program management capabilities across multiple workstreams
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration
Deep understanding of change management and hands-on experience driving change
Excellent communication and influencing skills, including at senior executive level
Experience with synergy tracking and value realization
Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
