Safety Specialist (EHS)

The Operations Department is responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of our three facilities in Hungary.
A key aspect of this work is safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of our employees. To support this, our Safety Specialist plays a vital role in continuously assessing and managing work-related risks, organizing targeted training sessions, and maintaining close collaboration with occupational health professionals. This proactive approach reflects our strong commitment to creating a safe and healthy work environment for all.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Keeping occupational safety documentation, regulations, and records up to date;
- Investigating and documenting occupational accidents;
- Liaising with authorities;
- Keeping risk assessments and estimates up to date, participating in them;
- Putting machines into operation from an occupational safety perspective, participating in them;
- Liaising with occupational health doctors;
- Organising, holding, and documenting training courses;
- Selecting and checking personal protective equipment, performing related administrative tasks;
- Organising, implementing, and documenting occupational safety inspections and inspections;
About You, our future colleague
Qualifications
- Degree in Work Safety Engineering or certification as a Higher Work Safety Specialist
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in occupational health and safety or a related field
Skills & Competencies we are looking for
- Strong verbal and written command in English & Hungarian
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
- Familiarity with safety management systems and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools
- Ability to interpret and apply occupational safety legislation and standards
- Experience with incident reporting and root cause analysis
- Basic understanding of environmental protection practices and sustainability principles
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Proactive in identifying risks and implementing effective solutions
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
- Resilience and adaptability in dynamic operational environments

However, your stakeholders will include our international Management team, HR and D&I departments as well as external partners and authorities.
