Drive meaningful change

We are looking for a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join Abacus Medicine’s Chief Executive Management Team in Copenhagen. As CFO, you will be a strategic partner to our CEO and Board of Directors, leading a multi-country Finance organization and driving our global financial strategy.

The role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on execution, ensuring stability, profitability, and growth while fostering collaboration across borders.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing Finance, Accounting & Business Controlling across countries
• Driving group-wide financial strategy, reporting, and compliance
• Ensuring strong liquidity management, forecasting, and risk management
• Overseeing investor relations and dialogue with banks, auditors, and institutions
• Supporting M&A and international expansion in close collaboration with the Strategy team
• Acting as sparring partner to the CEO and contributing actively to the Chief Executive Management Team
• Representing Finance in Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and Sustainability Steering Committee meetings
• Building, empowering, and inspiring a high-performing Finance team across multiple countries.

Your Profile

We are looking for more than a strong financial strategist - we are looking for a collaborative, confident leader who inspires trust and brings positive energy to a high-paced international environment.

You have:

• A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or equivalent is an advantage)
• A proven track record as CFO or senior financial executive in an international organization
• Experience with high-growth companies and international expansion
• Strong expertise in corporate finance, risk management, and compliance
• Fluency in Danish and English (additional European languages are an asset)
• Proficiency in ERP systems, BI tools, and advanced financial modelling
• An inclusive and collaborative leadership style - you empower others and win together
• Humor, resilience, and the ability to keep perspective even in complex situations
• A calm and confident presence - you bring clarity and stability and are comfortable in your own leadership style.
