Application Manager
As an Application Manager at Abacus Medicine, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of QA applications, ensuring platform stability, data integrity, and operational support. You will provide smooth daily running of core systems, be in close collaboration with key stakeholders, and ensure efficient handling of new ideas and requests for improvements.
We would like you to:
Application Lifecycle Management for QA computerized applications:
- Oversee deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement of QA-related applications;
- Ensure that applications meet business needs, compliance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP/GDP).
Stakeholder & User Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, key users, and vendors;
- Gather and prioritize requirements, manage expectations, and maintain a key user network;
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and provide functional support.
Performance Monitoring & Issue Management:
- Monitor application performance and availability;
- Manage incidents, service requests, troubleshoot bugs and performance issues.
Security, Compliance & Audit Support:
- Ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory standards;
- Coordinate audits and implement necessary controls;
- Support GMP/GDP compliance for QA applications.
Vendor & License Management:
- Manage relationships with software vendors;
- Track software licenses, renewals, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Documentation & Training:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems and processes;
- Provide training and ongoing support to end-users;
- Ensure proper user training is conducted and documented.
What we need you to have:
- 5+ years proven experience in application management and development;
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in IT engineering, economy or a related field;
- Solid technical knowledge of enterprise applications;
- Familiarity with ITIL practices, project management, and change management;
- Experience in quality assurance (QA) computerized systems;
- Strong understanding of business, IT domains and how they interconnect;
- Broad but detailed knowledge of relevant technologies within the solution domain;
- Proficiency in problem-solving, communication, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders;
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements effectively;
- A proactive approach to ongoing learning and staying abreast of the newest system features and updates from Microsoft;
- Strategic and strong commercial mindset, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
