As a Project Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our engineering (equipment and factory machinery installation), process optimization and company-wide projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with maximum impact. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams, manage internal resources, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure that every project is a success story on a company level.

More than just managing timelines, this role is about leadership, strategic thinking, and finding innovative solutions to complex challenges. The position is a crucial enabler for Abacus Medicine Hungary to optimize internal activities and workflows, but also to manage and support global projects.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager

• Lead Major Projects from Concept to Completion: Own the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and scope definition to execution, delivery, change management and post-project analysis.
• Managing External Projects Impacting Abacus Medicine Hungary Kft
• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project and program plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders
• Risk management: Monitor project and program progress, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies
• Facilitation: Facilitate regular project and program meetings, status updates, and communication channels to ensure transparency and accountability
• Communication: Design and deliver on strategic communication strategies for the project / program
• Team dynamics: Foster a collaborative team environment and promote effective communication and knowledge sharing
• Reporting: Track project milestones and deliverables, providing regular reports to stakeholders
• Conflict management: Resolve conflicts among senior management and address issues that may arise during the project lifecycle
• Evaluation: Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement improvements
• Leadership: Leadership skills to inspire and guide the team to maintain alignment and motivation
  

The Team You'll Meet

Abacus Medicine Hungary acts as part of the Abacus Medicine Group, therefore the project manager will be in contact with local and global (mainly Denmark and Netherlands based) colleagues

Skills and Qualifications, that will help you succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant field

• Proven track record in executing cross-functional projects

• +5 years of project management experience with larger projects

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable

• Excel in using Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and knowledge and experience with project management tools and software

• Exhibit strong stakeholder management skills and an inclination to collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Experience from production / warehouse
• Can act on shopfloor and on c-level
• Advantages: Background or experience in pharma industry, engineering, machinery installation, cross-country project management

Skills:

• Effective Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to articulate project goals, timelines, and expectations clearly to all stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English and Hungarian.
• Leadership skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams/colleagues, even under tight deadlines, overloaded stakeholders or during unforeseen challenges.
• Engineering: application of scientific principles to design innovate solutions for real-world organizational problems.
• Problem Solver: Solution oriented mindset with a knack for resolving conflicts and finding solutions to complex project roadblocks.
• Organization & Attention to Detail: Thrive in managing timelines and resources, ensuring no detail falls through the cracks.
• Tech-Savvy: Experience with project management tools and methodologies is highly preferred.
• Change management: Deep understanding and experience in professionally managing change from preparation until post analysis. This includes the preparation of training materials and step by step working instructions ensuring that all colleagues are properly trained.
